I had an issue with some items going missing and the host stopped responding when I asked about it. He said he was checking the cameras and then never responded again. Otherwise very clean and nice area.

This a great place for a quick pit stop. It was clean and very comfortable. I wish there was a little fridge and a microwave. I would stay here again and the host was available through WhatsApp.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Emerald a ton! My space was extremely clean and up-to-date, while also having a lot of character - it felt like a much more authentic experience than staying at a resort high rise. Its location is fantastic too, as it's within easy walking distance of the beach, a Walgreen's for essentials, as well as a couple restaurants (including the famed Kasalta). It's also a block away from a bus line that runs from the airport to Old San Juan, hitting most of the touristy areas along the shore in between, so you don't necessarily have to depend on Uber to get around.

This is a great spot for young or solo travelers. Walking distance from beach, restaurants, bars, and Walgreens. No staff on property but extremely responsive by text. AC was ice cold.

We like the convenient location, and amenities around! We think it needs to improve curtains, and include a chair or bench inside, an additional trash can, fix the bathroom handle. We like the place!!! We will use it again!!!

The best thing about this property is the location! You are a short 3-5 minute walk from Condado Beach and there are tons of restaurants, bars, and lounges in walking distance. Felt very safe. When we arrived, we could not find our room, a map of the room names would be nice for future guests. The parking area is vague as there are 2 spots and the third one looks like a drive-way. I ended up parking there, but didn't know or was never informed on where it was allowed to park. One of the nights I had to park on the street and one of the main reasons I booked this place was because it included parking so that needs a bit of work. When we walked in it was pretty clean, but there were trash bags someone from before left on the small patio. The bathroom window was open so it was extmely hot and humid to get ready in there, we ended up closing it and wedging the door open to make it cool enough to put on make-up and get ready (the door won't stay open). A full-length mirror somewhere would be nice. The shared kitchen was nice because people leave left over sunblock, aloe vera, umbrellas, etc and it is useful but it would be nice if it stayed open later. Overall OK, and it served its purpose as a central location to sleep yet be close enough to everything.

I have stayed in the area before but the host here was incredible. I started discussing my needs with Guatam, the host prior to my arrival. I had requested a beach chair and it was there upon arrival. The rooms are much larger than the area in general. My room the “Opal” was a studio sized room with a sitting area. The shared kitchen was right next door. The kitchen is stacked with everything one may need to cook. Utensils, dishes, pots and pans etc…. There’s a fridge and each room gets a shelf. There’s a water purifier to make ice and have filtered drinking water. Tons of outlets in the room. I love the Koi pond and the cute courtyard. The neighborhood is extremely safe as it is in Ocean Park a gated community. The Emerald is directly across the street from a gated entrance. Three short blocks away is the beach which has beautiful waves but not as intense as Condado. There’s a bunch of cafes and restaurants within walking distance and a walgreens open 24 hours 2 blocks away. It’s just extremely convenient. The price is incredible and I even extended my stay a few days. I prefer the feeling of a guesthouse over the large hotels. I also prefer supporting small businesses as much as I can. I can see why this host is a superhost. I will be back.

Everything was very smooth and easy going the housekeeping amazing as well. The only inconvenience i saw on the room i stayed they don’t have a mini bar… is my biggest recommendation for fiture guests. Keep the drinks fresh while walking around in the hit!! Other than that i definitely will search to stay there in future trips to PR!!

Was not aware of the area around when i booked and I wish I was. The place was a cheap place to crash for the night and uber eats was handy so I didn't have to get out into the traffic. Neighborhood had a little sketchy felling but this is coming from a family that lives out in the middle of nowhere and are not around a lot of people
