L’Antico Pozzo never disappoints. This is our second time staying here, and the only way to see San Gimignano. While the tourist hordes overrun the town, sit in their quiet courtyard and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a bottle of wine, then walk to all of the towns attractions in the evening when the buses have all gone. Matteo was a great host, rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy. Location is tough to beat, just a short walk from the parking outside the city walls.

Small town, big value!

This was by far our favorite town to visit on our trip so far, and this hotel was a perfect location to explore the town. The staff was great, communication was excellent, the room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious! As others mentioned, park in P3 parking lot for the closest walk. No parking in the town itself!

Gorgeous property, family run. Perfect location. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Great recommendations. Parking is about 300-400 meters, easy access. Tasty breakfast. The have an ancient cellar that you can tour.

Wonderful hotel staff

We arranged for transportation from train station Poggibonsi which serves San Gimignano to hotel with return after our stay. Excellent service. Hotel staff always helpful. Located inside gates of old city with wonderful local restaurants and coffee shops. Good breakfast buffet option. We stayed in lots of hotels on our trip to Italy and this one is favorably memorable.
