Really a lovely stay — the decor is a bit dated but well maintained and with some great touches. (The daybed by the window for instance.) My main issue dragging down the overall is the $30 resort fee, which is likely standard for SF but could have much more visibly been disclosed in the listing. As usual not sure I need to pay $30 for a couple bottles of water and breakfast coffee I didn't need (since I left at 4am) but it is what it is. Just don't spring it on me at check-in.

We booked the hotel for its location, but for a fraction of the price of a room at the Hyatt across the street, we got so much more. Free coffee and pastries every morning was a much-appreciated perk after our red-eye flight. Central location, convenient to just about everywhere in town. Lots of great dining options within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, very clean, and the shower was great. Not much of a view, but that would be the only complaint and it really isn't that important. We would definitely stay there again.
