Staff is very friendly and helpful. The building itself is old and all furniture, toilets, showers, etc. are old and not always clean. But the price very affordable, you pay for a hostel so expectation should be at minimum level.

This hostel is run extremely well. The kitchen is large and well equipped, I never once had to wait for a bathroom to open up for a shower, and all my belongings felt very secure. The bed was comfortable enough, and the blanket was plenty warm.. the location was close to the Powell Bart, and downtown areas. The only downside to the entire stay, was that the street can be pretty loud. If you are used to City Life I'm sure it won't bother you. But I'm not. The breakfast was good too. Kind of like the standard Continental breakfast you would get at a hotel. Waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal, etc. I would definitely stay again.

Good location. Overall clean and friendly staff. You can cook your own food in the kitchen and they have simple breakfast food available if you like. I was only there one night and I wasn't able to get the hotel WiFi to work at all. I'm not sure how common this is.

I don't think there is AC in the room. The room was quite warm when I went to sleep on a night in May and then got chilly several hours later. The blanket provided was thick enough to keep me warm. My sleep was affected because of the big change in temperature through the night. It was nice to see people from different backgrounds at the free breakfast.
