The only positive thing was that the 2 people I met at the front desk were very nice. I can only speak on the room I was given. Jail cells are larger. The place is really run down. I believe people stay there when they don't have many options. I basically lived out of my suitcase for the time I was there. No closet space or drawers to put your clothes. The last night I was there I shared the room with roaches and bugs. If your there for seedy reasons, then I guess it would be the right place to stay. Learned a lesson which won't soon forget.

For the price, it was a good place to rest your head for a few hours and take a shower. Not the cleanest (several roaches in the room), not the safest (lots of homelessness on property digging through trash and loitering), and not the most comfortable (linens were old, pillows flat, etc.). — But the staff was super sweet, they’re dog friendly, they have tiled floors (I hate carpet in hotel rooms) and it’s a good location for traveling around mission beach/sea world/ La Jolla area. Convenient to many places in San Diego. I would stay again if the price doesn’t increase. It slept myself, my boyfriend, and our dog. They have Roku TV so you can sign into your own subscriptions of just stream YouTube as a guest pretty easily. And the AC unit works great (you won’t even need it). The windows open so let the true San Diego air inside the room 😄

When we checked in our reserved room was sold, they put us in a crappy little room next to druggies who fought all night. Toilet runs every hour, no table to eat, nowhere to put clothing. The photos we saw throug expedia showed a nice room with dresser but actual room was pretty crappy. You owe us for first night stay as far as I'm concerned.

I loved that there were live plants in our room - just like home! This motel brought memories of long ago travel back to me - wonderful family vacations. Staff was super responsive to all requests.

The staff was very nice and friendly, but unfortunately, the room itself felt neglected and unclean. The floors looked like they had never been mopped, with visible stains on the floor, walls, and windows. There was hair on the floor and in the corners, which made the room feel poorly maintained. The towels were low quality and stained, and the room lacked basic furniture and storage options — no hooks or hangers for clothes, just a single nightstand and a countertop with no chairs or luggage bench. Parking can also be an issue on weekends because of non-operational vehicles taking up space, and the surrounding area feels a bit sketchy. Overall, while the staff were kind, the cleanliness and upkeep of the motel really need improvement.

Good hotel for the price

This hotel is small, comfy, and very affordable ! It's also conveniently near the freeway, and has a mini fridge with microwave. The only thing I didn't like was the tile floor. It was cold and felt sticky on my bare feet.
