400 meters away from bus stop. Does provide free shuttle to and from bus stop. Nice property tucked away in the forest. River in front of the rooms and property adds to calmness and natural beauty.
A great place to stay. We arrived at 8am and we were given oir room key straight away. Great to get an early chexk in after an overnight bus. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was really good. We would stay again and i would recommend oasis to anyone.
I loved how easy it was to get around because the people are so helpful. Natural beautiful area overlooking the river. Only thing I needed was AC in the room.
It's a gorgeous property and the staff is AMAZING. Property is always getting updated and the owners care about the local people as well as tourists. There can be issues with electricity/water with passing storms, etc., but this is not specific to Oasis. One has to remember that it's a different country, so roll with it and enjoy the scenery!

It is next yo the river in a beautiful area. The problem is water is limited for showering and there is loud music all night long.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
The front desk and waiters were very friendly. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were stained. There was a lot of hair on the shower wall. The comforter was thin and not warm. The water heater didnt work very well. There was no hot water in the sink. But from what it sounds like, staying at this location was better than staying at the location inside the park, because they didnt have hot water or electricity after an early hour. The food was pricey compared to what we were paying in the rest of Guatemala. But the breakfast was good.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The cabins are very rustic, as in they are not fully sealed so you will see gaps between the wooden slats and you can see outside a little, which means lots of creepy crawlers coming in. Although this is the case, they do not provide any mosquito nets!!! I was fine with the spiders, the beetles, the flys, the lizards running around my room but was very over the whole thing when a scorpion found its way inside! Cabins need some TLC! Saying that it’s a beautiful site with the river running right next to it. Annoyingly there is no hot water and there is no WiFi in the rooms, you have to go to the main area. Staff were generally friendly, but on multiple occasions I would order a meal and a drin, but they wouldn’t bring the drink and I would ask again, and sometimes they put it down as I’ve ordered another drink, but always got it sorted in the end. I really enjoyed the food there!
Amazing place! Good value of money.
Had a great time in the river and restaurant,
We didn’t have to leave the place, only to go on the tours with them also!
Everything was perfect. Location and view were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Our guide Felix was extremely friendly and kind, he sure made our experience even better.
This property is absolutely beautiful. Right on the river with amazing views.
The staff were all very polite and helpful. They arranged a tour of Semuc Champey for us, which was a short truck ride away, as well as a shuttle to return to Antigua.
We stayed for 3 nights and ate all of our meals at the hostel. They had a fairly broad menu (though not many vegan options) and everything was prepared well.
Receptionist at this place was the worse, I hope to give 0 on this place except for the surroundings. Be aware that they won’t give you a fan, towels or essentials for the expensive stay! The worst part about this place was the costumer service…
Didn’t give me back my change and they don’t even have a cash register they do everything by the book and no security cameras but one everyone is young and manger didn’t even bother to look me in the eye and talk to me and they don’t do your bed and no hot water and and trash bins in the room or bathroom
There aren't many options in this remote area of Guatemala. You can only find hostels and this one was the only one with private bathroom, this is why we picked it. I understand it is in the middle of nowhere but the cleaniness of the room was questionable. We had sheets with stains and holes. And the bathroom was really minimalist with heavy smell from the pipes.
Even in the middle of nowhere and for a hostel of this type I consider these basic services/facilities to have/do.
Rooms where clean but one the blanket of the three bed had musty smell and the door was missing the handle that you pull to open the door from the inside. to open the door you had to use the tip of your finger to pull the Thumbturn knob. Wife broke a nail trying to open door. FYI: Rooms don’t have mosquito nets
