While Montreal is known for its restaurants you could easily save money by cooking some meals since it’s near the supermarkets and easy to get to the Jean Talon market for fresh food via the Metro. 「It was better than I imagined」

「The unit itself is large and comfortable, with full kitchen and upgraded bathrooms. The location on Old Montreal is perfect. The host is responsive. However, we had a leak in the living room the first night during heavy rain, and the elevator had recurring issues. There were also ants in the kitchen and living room areas, coming from the baseboards and in between the floor panels. It’s an older building so issues like that can be expected, but I do think the property can use some work. We...

「The only issue we had with our stay was the noise from the adjacent bars and restaurants dumbing their empty cans and bottles into dumpsters late at night, and the dumpster dumping process early in the morning. No the properties fault, but it does impact your stay.」
