「The property is a charming historic hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely as well, though it was a bit chilly to use it. We enjoyed sitting beside it. Our room was well appointed though cosy. People who enjoy a spacious room would want to specify that when booking. The restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner.」

「After reading a bad review, we were unsure whether to book but it was unwarranted because our stay was wonderful! The host was welcoming, helping us with a restaurant booking nearby. The room was the largest we have stayed in since travelling around France. It said online it had air conditioning but it had a fan which was sufficient as the large room was very cool.」

「A lovely family run hotel with attention to detail and great service. Great location, with a super pool (great for kids). Beautiful views across the hillsides. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Friday night BBQ and live music was a lovely experience. We visited a local Thai restaurant on Friday evening, as recommended by the hotel - they weren’t wrong. It was really tasty and the service excellent. All in all would highly recommend and would love to return to Hotel L’Abbaye!」
