the property wasn’t very secure ( no keys required to get into any rooms) but the staff were friendly and there was a nice common area. facilities weren’t great but overall i liked this hostel vecaise it was a lovely area and i’d say you get what you pay for
All the terrible reviews are right. I wish I had checked them out. My main issue is how noisy it was outside the first floor room both at night and in the morning. The front desk is right next to the door and the workers were constantly chatting with each others or guests and I could hear everything while I tried to sleep. It didn't help one of the staff called me a "stupid b*tch" when I declined to bother with the check out process.
WARNING – NOT SAFE for female travellers!
We had booked three beds in an „Exclusive four-bed dormitory“ for our teenage daughter and her two friends of the same age at Hostel Villa Luzzatti. For safety reasons, we wanted the three young girls to stay in a room with only one stranger at the most. However, the hostel ignored our explicit booking of a four-bed dorm and instead put the three girls in a six-bed dormitory which they had to share with a group of three men. Unfortunately, these men were disrespectful towards the girls and harrassed them. The girls were very scared throughout their stay and left the hostel after one night to find safe accomodation elsewhere. This nightmare scenario was exactly what we did not want to happen to our girls!
We have contacted the hostel through our hotels.com, but they are denying their breach of contact and are refusing any compensation.
Definitely NOT recommended!
No volvería.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Cleanliness

Although I booked a spot, by the time I got there Villa Luzzatti was full. I was taken to a nearby hostel (they carried my bags). The sheets seemed clean but there were a lot of crumbs in the bed, some looked like old boogers. I wouldn't come back here.
