A very clean quiet and comfortable place.

The accomodation was very clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was varied and very tasty.The area was very close to the Vatican and i would definitly stay there again.

L'arrêt BUS SHUTTLE est à100 m. Accueil prévenant et agréable. Il s'agit d'un couvent réhabilité en hôtel, donc pas de faste mais des Infrastructures adaptés et propres pour niveau d'attente et un rapport qualité/prix excellent.Chambre confortable et SDB individuelle bien équipée (dont WC). Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Excellente situation à 20 lmn du musée du Vatican et à 300 m d'un arrêt bus pour centre ville. Service Shuttle retour aeroport Rome Flumiscino à 300 m pour 6 €. Nous recommandons vivement .

Stefano was the desk clerkwhen we checked out in the morning of the 29th. He was very rude to the 2 guests ahead of us. Came our turn, he was also rude. He needs to chill 50 %. Otherwise the rest of the staff were excellent. Another thing, the breakfast was excellent on the 25th. It went down quick from 10 to 3.the bread were stale, hard & old.I have to ask them to heat up the american coffee. It did not taste freshly brewed when it came back and lukewarm not hot.the bacon tasted old.scrambled eggs lukewarm and watery.hard boiled eggs Seems been there for days. Location was convenient. Mostly just walking distance!

Os funcionários do hotel foram bem cordiais. Nos permitiram um check in antes do horário previsto, o que nos ajudou. Quarto muito bom, espaçoso, silencioso, limpo, bem decorado e bem arrumado. Banheiro amplo, bem adequado e reformado. A única observação é que será muito difícil para idosos saírem do chuveiro, pois o nosso quarto, 302, tinha uma banheira alta. Café da manhã com tudo que um viajante precisa, sem exagero. No fim nos deram uma caixa de biscoito de presente. A equipe nos ajudou em tudo que precisamos. Tudo perfeito, não faltou nada, recomendo com louvor.

It was clean and adequate for my one night stay. The choose of a larger twin bed room was nice. Staff did their job well but weren’t very friendly compared to my stay in Airbnb in Umbria or hotels elsewhere

Excellent location.

Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Vatican City and St Peter's with Castel Sant'Angello 2 minutes walk at the side of the River Tiber. By crossing a bridge you are in the area where you can visit the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain. A 10 minute walk from the hotel takes you to a bus terminus where you can take a bus to the Colessium etc. Remember to buy a bus ticket before boarding the bus. The hotel was previously a convent and the decor reflects that. The rooms have high ceilings which helps to keep them cool. The bed is very comfortable and the breakfast was very good with a buffet of hot and cold food.

A great place to stay in Rome

Leaving a conference, I had an extra night in Rome and decided to stay here. It was wonderful. It used to be part of the Carmelite seminary, but was converted into a hotel. Very nice and very central!

Perfect spot

Very close to the Vatican and well placed for everything else in Rome. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional, the facilities fairly basic but who goes to Rome to sit in an hotel? There is a smashing roof terrace from which one can see the dome of St Peter's. I liked it up there ford thing in the morning and at sunset. Given the location, the price is very reasonable compared to others in the area. I will stay there again.

Domus Carmelitana: Ideal for Short Stay in Rome

The Domus Carmelitana is a gem! Ideally located for visits to the Vatican and both the modern and ancient sites in Rome. On arrival in the air conditioned building, I received a friendly welcome, checked in and given the wifi passwords. The room was ideal: immaculately clean, air conditioning and with an en suite bathroom. The breakfast was excellent! A wide range to choose from and a friendly staff on hand. There was a laundry service available if required. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and without hesitation would choose the Domus again.

perfekte Lage, sehr gutes Frühstück

Das Domus Carmelitana hat verschiedene Zimmer, die wir bei unterschiedlichen Reisen kennenlernen konnten. Dieses Mal hatten wir es nicht so gut getroffen. Mein Mann ist gehbehindert. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer mit einem Plastikbett und einem Pastikstuhl, obwohl mein Mann nicht inkontinent ist. Zum Bad gab es eine Stufe und der Eingang zur Dusche ist nur für Schlanke geeignet. Wir mussten uns durchzwängen. Der Kühlschrank war leer und die Temperatur war nicht kalt eingestellt. Der Vorhang liess sich sehr schlecht ziehen. Das Bett war zwar frisch überzogen, roch aber dennoch nach dem Gast davor. In dem Flur wurden bis spät in die Nacht die Türen geknallt, was man so laut hörte, als schliefe man im Flur selbst. Die Schallisolierung entspricht einem 3-Sterne-Hotel. Dafür war das Frühstück ein echtes Highlight. Die Auswahl war riesig und es schmeckte sehr lecker. Bei so einem Start in den Tag macht Rom noch mehr Spaß.

This is our second return to this delightful hotel where the staff is gracious, helpful, and remembered us from our stay last year. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast is perfect for travelers looking for more than just a pastry and yogurt. Location is perfect for our family which enjoys walking to nearby sites such as St Peters, Castle SantAngelo and Piazza Navona.

Dejlig centralt beliggende hotel med hyggelig morgrnmad restaurant i gammel hyggelig kælder. Fin og varieret morgenmad buffet. Beliggende i rolig sidegade mellem på vatikanet og Peterskirken og castel st angelo. Fin tag terrasse med udsigt.

Good clean hotel with excellent staff

Fantastic time in Rome the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely friendly and professional no negatives from me we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend to others.
