「My room was mostly clean (water rings on some of the furniture that were sticky), but overall satisfactory. It was quiet and comfortable. I liked the layout including a sitting area with a desk. The architecture was beautiful (Frank Lloyd Wright). It’s a bit dated, but not awful. Close to Mason City’s downtown which is so quaint and totally walkable. Lots of history and beautiful architecture. I highly recommend if you want to hang out for a day or two.」

「Front desk recommended a local Italian restaurant that was real good and close to the hotel. There was also some shopping nearby; Ross, Famous Footwear, Bath & Body, etc.」

「The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. He moved a fily with a barking dog to a different part of the hotel. He also, when we had trouble with the remote for the TV came and helped us manage finding TV stations.」

「Location is good. Old hotel. You get what you pay for. No door on restroom in pool area. Toilet is wide open for all to see. Crabby front desk staff. Keys did not work. Had to have it reprogrammed repeatedly. Many others having same issue. No elevator. Breakfast weak at best.」
