It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle (originally named Place de l'Étoile), at the western end of the Champs-Élysées.The Arc de Triomphe honors those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. The views from the top of the 50 m tall Arc De Troimph are mind blowing as it provides beautiful views of the city, as its in the centre of the Place De Etoile. The 12 beautiful avenues, including the beautiful Champs Elysees radiate to form the star for which the Place De Etoile is named. Beautiful avenues, lined with lush green trees, and the sheer geometry of the buildings, the uniformity in the color. I was admist a huge crowd of people, yet allowed myself the joy of admiring this moment - the sheer magnitude of the arc, the sunlight playing on the buildings, the gentle breeze, the distant rumbling of traffic and me in the middle of it all....Surreal!!!

The property ahould state what floor each room is on. We had a 3rd floor walk up! No elevator. There was glass on the floor as well. The tub is really high and my elderly mom had a hard time getting in and out. We only booked here as an emergency
