The hotel seemed to be in the middle of a remodel or was not done being built. The location is near the airport, but you need transportation. Their “shuttle” is a one-way transportation with very few runs. From the airport to the property you have to take bus 55 and then walk a couple of blocks. The bus is about $6 and you can pay with a card. The problem is that the bus times are also very limited, maybe once an hour. If you have a car no problem. The rooms are renovated, but everything is in dark grey, black and very dimly lit. It’s like a cave. Very depressing, especially when the sun doesn’t shine. The dimly lit continues into the bathroom. You can barely see yourself in the mirror, there’s no light around the mirror! The only saving grace is that there is a lit shaving mirror. In the mirror you look like a spook from the dark. The unfriendliness toward the guests continues by the bed. The bedside shelf is small, and worst of all in these days and times, you have to unplug the light to be able to charge your phone! You could charge one more item on the work desk. They have a kettle and Nespresso machine, but you have to be creative in figuring out how how to plug it in. The cords aren’t long enough for the outlets underneath (which are an extension cord!). It is a crazy design and totally user unfriendly. When you build or remodel and you can’t meet the basic needs of modern travelers, you are doing something really wrong.
