"Hotel appears to be in the middle of rennovations: hallways had all baseboards removed, pool was drained and not available, THERE WAS NO HOT WATER in room, and heat for room was provided by a portable heat unit. The hotel may be better in future, but at least for 2026 we recommend avoiding it."

"Room was very clean and comfortable, front desk employee was helpful, very kind and caring at check-in, my only complaints are small but significant.... Hair dryer didn't work, pool was closed for maintenance.... understandable but one of the reasons I chose this hotel and the Continental breakfast was good but having the front desk employee 2 feet from me watching me toast a bagel was very uncomfortable and I feel unnecessary "

"My stay at the Best Western at the Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY was very disappointing. The mattress in my room was absolutely horrible, one of the worst I have ever slept on. I asked if something could be done about it, but nothing was ever resolved during my stay. The rooms are very outdated, and in the afternoon I had cold water in the shower, which is not what you expect after a long day. Housekeeping was also very poor. They forgot to replace towels, and I learned that you actually have to request room cleaning even if you are staying five nights. What made it worse was the attitude at the front desk. Every time I asked for help, the response was very defensive instead of helpful. There was no effort to work with me or solve the issues. The manager was also nowhere to be seen the entire time. Overall this hotel seems very poorly managed. I would definitely recommend staying somewhere else."

"The Motel Looked run down from the outside... the area was fine up until I saw the state of the motel. Which sort of looked like it was being renovated but then stopped abruptly with no plan of restarting. I did not feel safe for myself or my car. shower and bathroom for that matter were small. Had a weird kitchenette with a sink and a microwave that I would never trust. Linens had stains on them in certain areas. Parking lot had trash bags sitting in the middle, towels in the parking lot that looked like they had been there since the start of the winter. Came out the next day and found a crack pipe next to my car (unsure if that was there before or not) I will not be staying at this place again, unless there is some major upgrades to cleaning and the rooms themselves. "
