All the staff here are super friendly and welcoming. The interior is very new, clean, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly generous. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay!

All-in-all a pleasant stay. However, the only issue we did not understand nor appreciate was that the manager or perhaps the "boss" of the staff knocked on our door despite "do not disturb" sign and said he wanted to make a "small" non-urgent repair. We did not let him in. You would think a non-urgent repair can wait to be done after guests leave, not on the 1st day of their stay.

This place is a breath of fresh air. Easy walk from the train station and just close enough to the action to walk, but far enough away to not be stuck in it. Plus 3rd street is close and it’s becoming the centre of cool in this town anyway. The staff are amazing and it actually behaves like a real hotel!!! They service your room everyday, they leave you a breakfast outside your door to enjoy when it suites YOU, they have coffee and other items down in the lobby, umbrellas if it’s raining, robes for the room, real wine, beer, and water glasses, hooks for your coats, etc etc etc. And don’t get me started how quiet and private everything is. The rooms are so charming, quiet, climate controlled but with windows that open out onto the street below if you choose. The technology works flawlessly and the bed is sooooo comfy. This is my home away from home when in Quebec City.

We had a great stay. Hotel room was just as expected based on the photos. Room was very clean. Staff were friendly. The breakfast delivered to our door was a really nice touch! They served delicious croissants and coffee is available in the lobby. The hotel was also in a great location. The city is very walkable so we walked everywhere.

The hotel consists of 24 rooms. Our room was clean, cozy, comfy king size bed. The staff are very very friendly, delightlful and helpful for directions, accomodations and needs. Antoine, whom we first met even provided us w a personal kettle since my husband only drinks tea, offered map of the city and bus passes w no xtra charge. The other lady and gentleman fr Senegal made sure we got our breakfast early since we had an early flight going back home and this is 2 in the morning. Each morning, they leave a lunchbag hung by the door at 7am and is up to you if you wish to eat early or late- no pressure...has croissants, banana breads, raisin breads , jams, butter , yogurts, orange juice, tea/coffee avail to ur liking. We also enjoyed the shower brand that they carry, L' Occitane fr France..the Vervaine line...ahhh it is like being in the spa!!! Overall, I give them 10 stars not 5!!! I did not feel intimidated since they spoke English and French:) TRY this hotel, I definitely recommend them. It was a great 1st time experience in Quebec, the staff really made a great difference on our stay! Hello from Edwin & Georgina from Edmonton, Alberta💙

This hotel was a great find. Located on the edge of the old town, it has charm and character along with friendly charming staff (big shoutout to Justin on reception for passing on his knowledge of the area - thanks!) Our room was in a corner of the building on the third floor and was warm, cosy, well furnished and quiet. We had continental breakfast brought to our room every morning and an Easter egg on the Sunday, much appreciated!

I had a generally good stay at Hôtel des Coutellier, and the highlight of this hotel is definitely the front desk staff. They were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which I truly appreciated. The room was clean, and one of my favorite details was the bathroom amenities,they provide products from L’Occitane, which I personally love. The location is also very convenient, especially being close to the VIA Rail station, which was the main reason I chose this hotel. However, walking to Old Town can be a bit challenging as it involves going uphill. If you’re physically fit, it should be fine, but for elderly travelers, it might be better to consider alternative transportation. The only downside of my stay was related to renovation noise. I understand it may have been low season, and I did hear some drilling and hammering after check-in, which didn’t bother me much since I wasn’t in the room. However, the next morning was quite disappointing.I was woken up by loud construction noise before 7 AM. Upon checking out, I realized the renovation was happening right next to my room, which made the experience quite unpleasant.

Hotel was lovely Floriane at the front desk was absolutely awesome and helped us decide on restaurants. They were doing some construction so the gym and restaurant were closed but the breakfast delivered to your room was a delightful touch. Highly recommended
