「Staff was very helpful and the pool was a nice refreshing experience in the heat. Breakfast was more than we could ask for. Although the room is small it was clean and ok for sleeping.」

「La vue vaux l’hôtel. C’est de loin la plus belle vue que j’ai vue de ma vie. Les déjeuners sont excellant et en grande quantité. Ils nous on tout fournis pour notre bébé de 7 mois. Endroit très convivial, intime et calme. Parfait pour des vacances de la grande ville. Routa était super gentille, ainsi que la femme de la dégustation de vin. Je recommandes vraiment cet endroit! 「The staff here, aside from the lovely man in the dining room for breakfast , were minimalist at best. The front desk staff were well below par. The hotel is pretty basic and the town itself doesn’t have a lot to offer - look elsewhere for a Douro experience unless you want to see the church stairs.」

Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. It should be noted that there is an opportunity to taste very good local wine on site.」

「We were heading out very early one morning for a tour and because breakfast was not served until 8:30 we would have missed it. They left everything in the fridge se we could help ourselves to breakfast very early. Very much appreciated. Susanna was wonderful and made us a fire and was very welcoming.」

「Octant is a beautiful hotel, and the staff are next level - while we were out for a hike, the staff held on to our daughter’s doll. When we returned they had taken pictures of the doll doing all sorts of fun activities - from a massage at the spa to helping at front desk. Truly above and beyond!」
