"Great location, definitely make use of the spa"

"Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Barcelo. Overall impression was that the hotel is very clean, neat and tidy. Breakfast is amazing with a large variety menu to choose from certainly the highlight of our stay. Roof top bar in my opinion was expensive compared to others we attended, staff a little abrupt, we couldn’t sit where we wanted to as a couple we had to sit a 2 person tables although the one we wanted to sit at stayed empty for the duration of our stay. Location is good if you wish to walk off all those breakfast calories, close to the stunning Arts, Science and Oceanographic buildings. 30 minute walk to the port area of the city and similar distance from the city centre. Not alit of nightlife around the hotel, taxi rank is situated right outside the hotel’s main entrance. "

"My wife’s whole personal bag with jewelry, cash, wallets with credit cards, personal belongings were stolen at the small reception area of the hotel in front of the hotel manager Maria at the broad day light. It was a setup since I notified the hotel by WhatsApp our early check in at 1 pm and the thieves were waiting inside the restaurant attached to the small reception area where it was recorded while scene in the hotel camera and the manager Maria acted like a bystander without any appropriate assistance or remorse with her body language and expressions. This is the worst check in we have ever encountered. "

"We had a bright, clean room with a nice balcony overlooking the ocean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was great. Close to Marina Beach Club so you could hear music at night. Didn’t bother us but might be an issue for others."
