"A fairly basic hotel, barring the excellent staff. The lack of being able to control the room temperature/aircon and few amenities available are unfortunate for somewhere with this excellent location (and again, staff)"
"We initially booked the double room and it does look a little bit dated and small.
We changed to a twin room to accommodate our luggage space needs better, and the size of the room was significantly better. We could walk comfortably and the rooms were clearly refurbished and in a newer condition. It faces the city so the view was great. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
The hotel is situated very ideally. We actually drove, there was not any problems getting parking. Even on foot, we could access convenience stores, luxury shopping and good food very well. The truth is that we really didn’t have much time to explore the surrounding area adequately, but we will definitely return to this hotel when we come to Fukuoka again"
"Our stay was very nice and pleasant. The best breakfast buffet we ever experienced. There were many varieties of food to choose from. The staff, they were all courteous and polite. The room was small, but it was quiet and clean. Onsen was never crowded. We enjoyed it with perfect temperature. Highly recommend this hotel, but especially for breakfast buffet!"
"We had a pleasant stay at Plaza Hotel Premier Fukuoka. The room was the usual compact size for a Japanese hotel, but the central location was excellent — perfect for exploring the city."
"Incredibly thankful for staff allowing us to store our luggage for a few days prior to checking in!
This made traveling between cities and islands way more enjoyable. We only stayed one evening at Oriental Express Fukuoka Tenjin however can say it is very convenient. Easy access to many amenities and shopping nearby, train station also within walking distance. Also enjoyed our breakfast buffet options and the welcome treat/time of happy hour in the lounge!
The only feedback was the initial smell walking into the room, despite the hotel being a strict no smoking hotel. There was an odd smell but after opening window for a few hours, went away. Otherwise, excellent use of floor plan for those with lots of luggage. "
