"My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. I appreciated being able to do my laundry easily with the machine in the garage and the estendal in the closet. It was very close to universidade do Açores, which we needed. But also close to other more tourist things like the seaside and the beautiful church. Really the only thing I didn’t like is the bathroom doesn’t have a fan for ventilation, but very small since you’re not in a bathroom for very long anyways."

"I absolutely loved my stay here! The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a welcoming and amazing stay, and even though my flight times changes three times, they still managed to get me a ride to the hotel promptly on my airport arrival. The food was great, it was so clean, and little surprising touches to my stay that made me feel like royalty. I will 100% stay here again!"

"This is a really nice hotel in a great location with a wonderfully helpful and courteous staff. It’s clean, quiet and comfortable and has everything you need for a nice stay in Ponta Delgada. The whole place is well maintained and in terrific shape. The breakfast was nice and had a lot more variety than several other places I’ve stayed at in The Açores. Everything was really good. There’s also free parking nearby. It’s located on a very narrow street, so just take care when checking in and out. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return, and I really want to come back!"

"Hotel Gaivota is located in an outstanding location in Ponta Delgada for convenience to shopping, restaurants, the harbor, and the historic city center. It is also adjacent to a small grocery store that had premade dishes and space to eat outdoors. It was quicker and more affordable than some of the restaurants and food Can be purchase to prepare in the apartments. There is also a pharmacy very nearby and they were helpful in getting some medication for a cold. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful! They small apartments were spacious and had a wonderful balcony! I thought the breakfast times were excellent-until 10:30 am! The selections were varied each day and they included an à la carte menu. Parking is available for 10 Euros/day underground near the hotel. I would definitely return to Hotel Gaivota on a future trip to Ponta Delgada!"
