Potential guests need to know that this is not an accessible hotel. There is a full set of stairs leading to the lobby. Stairway leading to rooms is steep and narrow. There were spider webs in the room. Staff did not remove them during our stay. We asked for an additional blanket, but it was stained and smelled. I paid a non-refundable $3 fee for a beach towel. The Seaview pina colada bar along the boardwalk used watered-down alcohol. The drink I ordered was in a cored pineapple, but the server accidentally cut a hole in it. My drink was leaking as she handed it to me. No refund, no offer to make another one, but she did provide a plastic cup. Overall, the pictures make the hotel look much better than reality.

The front desk staff was very nice but not so much the pool staff. The room had roaches. The location is great right on the beach. The rooms need renovations and the furniture is very old. I would not stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect, close to everything I needed, which made getting around incredibly convenient. I also felt very safe throughout my visit, which was a huge plus. The staff were outstanding, friendly & helpful!!

Super emplacement ! Belle vision des propriétaires. Recommandations: 1- Remettre des bracelets au vacanciers séjournant à l'hôtel. ( Cela evitera de se faire regarder drôlement et parler sec, 4 ×/sem. Lorsqu'on utilise les installations de l'hôtel) 2- Mettre des panneaux acoustiques dans les chambres pour absorber le bruit venant d'ailleurs ( Très mal insonorisé, mais pas trop bruyant! ). 3- ( le plus important!!) Prévoir une corde à linge ou autres pour faire sécher. ( On ne peut pas suspendre nos vêtements mouillés nul part, interdit par le propriétaire. J'avais une chambre interieure et sans fenêtre...très difficile à séché les serviettes!!)

The rooms are very small. The beds were uncomfortable and extremely old creaked with any movement. The pigeons outside my window made sleep difficult. Walls are thin so you can hear movements of the adjacent rooms. Beach area was nice, pool is small but okay as well.

If you are on a budget and want a place to stay right on the beach and everything nearby within walking distance then this is the best. The hotel is currently being remodeled with most rooms still very dated. Our room was very clean(cleaned every day of our stay), air conditioning was great, and very quiet. The hotel had good wi-fi, a pool and bar right on the beach where you could order food, a restaurant/coffee house, and a market which had everything from toothpaste to liquors which was very convenient. Tip - market prices are cheaper if you go into town. Beach chairs and umbrellas are free (just let them know you are staying at Seaview. The guys will bring you food and drinks right on the beach. The beach gets a little crowded on cruise ship days. Just check the cruise ship schedule - some days have no ships. You can walk to most everything but we did rent a car and explored the whole island during our week stay. You can rent a car for about $70 a day. With four of us a taxi was $40 to $50 to and from airport. Rental car is worth it if you want to go to other places on the island. Most things shutdown around 6 or 7 pm on the beach (there are few things open for dinner). Overall great place to stay if you don’t mind an outdated hotel room.

Appearance wise the hotel isn’t the best . The beds were hard like sleeping on a flat hard cot . There was construction going on so there were machines going first thing in the am . Very loud . The pool was great X from the beach view it’s a gem .

It is not a boutique hotel. It is a run down mess, it is in a very poor state from cleanliness, beds, smell of mould from AC, to no view, and total misconceptions of what you are getting for a hotel stay. We stayed here for 2 nights because our other rental place was not available at the time. The Seaview is the oldest hotel on the island (75 years) and has been recently renovated. It's not a completely new structure so some of the bones are still old with paint over it which adds to the charm. I am only reviewing the room we stayed in which I believe to be the best one in this hotel and possibly the best room on the Philipsburg waterfront. Room 29 is a corner unit on the second floor with a large balcony on the waterfront. The room has a fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and bedroom with water views. There are only 2 rooms with a balcony so that could be a deal breaker for a lot of people. We did not eat or drink at the restaurant/bar so cannot comment on that. We did walk to the Fairway Mark It towards the cruise pier for cheap beer and wine plus groceries. Something you need to consider staying in Philipsburg is most of the businesses close early after the cruiseships leave so bar and restaurants are very limited after 5pm. would I stay here again, Absolutely but would have to be room 29 for me. I seen a lot of negativity in the reviews regarding the staff. They were not very enthusiastic or overly friendly I must say but not rude as some may suggest. The best thing about our stay was to sit on the deck watching the cruiseships come in to port while enjoying our morning coffee. In the evening, we would watch them sail away will drinking a glass of wine.
