"Had the best experience at the Platzl hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. They were truly accommodating and made our stay easy. Amenities were modern and comfortable. The location is central to all old town Munich landmarks, but also close to the rest of the city and the airport. It should be mentioned the breakfast buffet was incredible-wide variety of food and it was all delicious."

"Heart of the city, right off the main metro line. Front desk and bar staff were friendly and helpful. Maid service was horrible. Took a tip first day and it only seemed to build contempt for us. Not at all a safe neighborhood, pick pockets routinely in handcuffs on the street, tons of beggers, and homeless. Don't bring kids unless they want to check out the strip club next door. Just know what you're going into and you'll be fine."

"The location of the hotel is close to the shops, restaurants and tourist spots. The male receptionist was so helpful and told us where we should go. So happy to be in Munich. Not far from here are nice German restaurant worth the visit."

"We just stayed in this hotel recently. The rooms were big with great staff. However 3 things we didn’t like. First, the location is close to the city center however it was in a lower class zone. 2nd, the hotel is more on the old side, worn down with old amenities . Last, the A/C was working but not efficient and the room was extremely hot. We had to ask for a fan. We faced the same problem with another room in the reservation. If you like cold rooms, don’t stay in this hotel especially during Summer"

"The room was clean. The shower was very nice and the bed was comfortable. We arrived at the Hbf and it was about a 15-minute walk. The area felt safe. Very close to the Old Town. The breakfast buffet was very good."
