Even though the Motel is dated, the room, including the kitchen and bathroom was very clean. Also, friendly & accommodating staff. The rental was an excellent value.

The reviews were not very good for this property. For the price it was not a bad deal! The motel is out dated, but our room was clean, bed comfortable, and it had everything needed for a good night's sleep. When I called to confirm our reservation, the woman was helpful and friendly.

I really wanted to like the room and property as I love the area. But as my friend dropped me off (and thank goodness he didn’t leave right away!) I walked into what I thought was the office. However, there was a sign posted saying the check-in office is at the Pelican Bldg. I’m from out of town so I called the number, spoke to the clerk, explained my situation, and asked how to get to the check-in office. She said, “Well, I don’t know where you are so unsure how to direct you.” Really?!? How many Pelican Motels are there in Pequot Lakes? Turns out the check-in office is a few blocks away so I hoofed it over, got my key, and walked back. Not the end of the world but quite unusual compared to my other stays in smaller towns.

The room pictures did not match the room what so ever. The shower head hardly sprayed water. The bedroom closet door was broken and didn’t stay on the runners. There was an old fridge in the room that didn’t work. The blankets had stains on them. When to the front desk and was told not there problem. All and all it was a terrible experience!

I only stayed there for a few hours, but to check in nobody told me that you had to head to a different building behind a gas station down the block. So I show up at the property and walk in and there's no place to check in, so I call them
