"Excellent location, walking distance to most places we wanted to go including the Royal Mile, Princes Street, Stockbridge, Holyrood House, National museum of Scotland, national galleries, Scot Monument, the list goes on. Hotel was excellent for breakfast and we had an evening meal on one of the nights which was also excellent. Bar has a nice ambience and staff very attentive. The room itself was so clean and bed extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend."

"This place is awesome! We stayed in the family room for four and it was comfortable, clean and spacious. Free pre-check in and post-check out luggage storage onsite. Great location right in the middle of the Royal Mile action, yet providing a quiet night’s rest. In room A/C a definite plus."

"My room was clean and tidy, not the largest of hotel rooms but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was not great. Food was mostly cold with only one choice of egg which was scrambled eggs , bacon cold, sausage overcooked and not very warm. A microwave cooker may have solved the problem. The bar was good as were the staff. Card payment only, I prefer paying for a drink with cash"

"Room was fine, though the window opened to a rooftop that was undergoing renovations with a pallet of flammable material sitting right next to the window. The place was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and perfect for single travelers. Unfortunately the boiler was out during my stay, and the breakfast/dinner options were limited as a result. Dinner was pricey, especially given the limitations."

"Hotel is in a great location with plenty of public transport options, the room was bright, clean and comfortable, and the reception area and bar/lounge felt lovely. The whole pool area is small and feels tired but it’s a good facility to have. Was disappointed with the food - breakfast items just didn’t taste fresh. And ordered a meal on room service which tasted and felt like reheated food. Disappointing considering the cost of the stay but otherwise good."
