「We had a lovely short stay in this attractive stone pub with lots of character.. The location is perfect for Lancaster and the University nearby. The rooms are of a high standard and very clean. 「Didn't get a blanket for the sofa bed as requested, soap dispenser broken in shower, sofa not very comfortable, breakfast cutlery was dirty, tables not clean during breakfast, even though asked a lady to clean a table please, but didn't.」

「We didn't take up our booking because we were advised by our friends and relatives (one is a member of the local constabulary) who live locally that the hotel is filthy, poorly managed and used more as a hostel for undesirables. We were advised not to stay there, consequently we didn't even see the establishment so cannot confirm whether that is the case.」

「First time staying, lovely and clean, rooms are lovely. We are from their lunch menu, cant fault the quality of the food. Breakfast was lovely. Great choice of options. All in all, a great stay.」

「Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...
