「Booked the room in February. After an 80 bicycle ride in mixed weather conditions, i was delighted to arrive at the hotel. Not delighted to find it locked. Tourist centre was kind enough to contact the owner that said that it was closed for renovations. Some kind of notice would be expected.」

「O hotel fica na Quinta do Portal, uma casa de fazenda bem adaptada para hotel. O quarto e wc grande, varanda e bem decorada. O café da manhã maravilhoso. Um detalhe só, as estrada do restaurante para o hotel por 2 vezes ficou bloqueada por carros entregando mercadoria para o restaurante e tivemos que esperar a operação. O jantar menu degustação vale muito a pena」

「Great view from the room and the cafeteria/restaurant. The mountain and the river behind are spectacular. The room itself is quite nice and big as well. However, the only public transportation to get to the hotel is by bus. Even it is only three minutes walk to downtown, still strongly recommend to rent a car if you would like to explore more in the neighborhood. The hotel has its own underground parking lot. So it is not a problem for parking.」

「Beautifully decorated hotel, with a great service, friendly staff, delicious buffet breakfast. Comfortable, quiet, surrounded with nature, with an easy parking, great pool and spa. Charming view from the balcony. I received a birthday gift which was such a nice surprise! Did not have time to visit the casino, unfortunately. 」

「Charmerende. Dejligt værelse med udsigt til poolen. Vær opmærksom på at nogen værelser har vinduer højt, så man ikke kan se ud (kælderen). Flere grupper af stole/borde udenfor, så man kunne sidde og hygge. Flinke værter. Morgenmad ok, men der manglede hele tiden noget (var der i 3 dage). I området var der gode afmærkede vandrerstier. Et stort supermarked. 」

「This is a very special place. A quiet and idyllic vineyard with just a few respectfully restored rooms forms an authentic getaway from everyday hustle and bustle. Very dedicated owner and staff makes you feel welcome and allows you to relax. There isn’t much to do here other than enjoy the scenery, the quietness, a swim or a walk between the vines. 」
