Hotel is relatively new but maintenance isn’t easy with relatively high wear and tear from volume of guests. Reception staff are excellent. Swimming pool is really very small….. adds up to a few bath tubs. Beach is right across the small road so easily accessible. Note that the room items are placed in rather unusual locations, for example bathroom toiletries are found not in the bathroom but under the table in the bedroom and the telephone is not on the bedside table but affixed to the edge of the wooden wall panel where the television is located. No big issue but you need to first scan the room to find these things.

This is a very new property so everything was in perfect condition. The staff members provided excellent services too. The only issue I had with this place was, there were a lot of flies in the property. We were informed that it was the tropical fly season but I don't see any flies everywhere else. Besides, I believe there is room for improvement for the breakfast. Perhaps, ingredients of better quality should be used for the food.

AVI Pangkor

It was a good, clean and convenient hotel. Though not on the beach, but it was close enough to get to the beach...a 2 minute walk across. Our room was nice and clean. Had a good view of the sea and garden. Bathroom was small but clean. Convenient location as it was walking distance to most shops and restaurants. Away from the town yet close enough to get to...walking takes about 30 mins or grab a taxi in for about RM15. We didn’t use the pool as we didn’t find it clean. A family was in the pool fully clothed and washing their hair with the hand wash from the sink near by. Many people got into the pool fully clothe / not proper swim attire. So we skipped the pool. Breakfast was alright. Got better from Thursday onwards. Possibly because it the weekend coming. Overall it was a good stay. Will we return - YES, but not for the pool.
