"Very much enjoyed the balcony suites at the Hotel Palace Royale. Rooms were spacious, clean and the bed was SO comfortable. Old Quebec was steps away. Staff was friendly and informative. Would stay there again."
"The place was lovely and perfect for our needs. It’s close to the Old City gate on Rue St Jean, so everything in Old Quebec was walking distance, and we were also able to easily venture outside the Old City on foot to other restaurants, a jazz bar, the Grand Theatre to see the orchestra, etc.
The apartment itself had good heating and cooling (we had a couple hot days, and a couple of nights that got chilly, so had the opportunity to use both a/c and heat). Nice little kitchen but the restaurants were so good and so close we only ended up storing a couple of snacks in the fridge and didn’t cook. It did take a little while for the tap water to get cold for drinking - a pitcher would be nice to be able to put in the fridge. The shower is lovely with a rainfall and a handheld combo.
To unlock the door, you have to activate it through a link on your phone, and all communication with staff is via messaging or call, so don’t let your phone battery die! Staff were responsive and helpful.
