"The rooms were quaint and a little small, but the double queen ocean front on the third floor was adequate. The balconies were small and have solid walls on the left and right side and so therefore the morning sun brings in at a very, very hot arrival and there’s no breeze to help push the heat out of that little square block you’re in so it’s pretty much unbearable to watch the sun rise after it actually gets a little bit above the ocean the maid service was hit and miss couple days we found them just slipping the card under the door asking us if we wanted our room made up well of course we did and we were gone all day one day and got in at 3:30 and I saw the maid in the hallway and she said that they got off at four and that she would catch us tomorrow and threw me a couple extra towels that was unacceptable but we managed to get made service the rest of the week after I complain to the front desk. The breakfast was absolutely great. The free breakfast. The eggs are sausage. We’re good. Don’t get there right at 7 o’clock but everything’s not real hot yet. Best time to go around 7:45 or 8 o’clock that’s about it."

"It was wonderful. Great location on the beach, and with two little ones, the suite was the perfect size to accommodate everyone comfortably. Pool and pirate ship playground were also big hits. Have lived in OBX and visited my whole life, first time at the hotel but won’t be the last."

"We had a wonderful stay at this motel. The property was very nice, and we especially enjoyed the easy access to the beach. The staff was friendly, polite, and always helpful. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, which made our stay even more convenient. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely stay here again!"

"Hampton Inn Corolla was a dream! I am hesitant to say too much for fear of getting the word out but let’s just say it was so hard to leave and I’m already looking at the calendar to return!"
Heart of Manteo Motor Lodge
8/10 Good
"Stayed for one night while in town to see The Lost Colony. The property is a vintage motor lodge. So the rooms show some wear and tear but the room was clean. The AC worked amazingly (which was a plus for me). The room I had was a small room but as a single traveler they may have put me in a smaller room."

"Location was excellent and the room clean and comfortable however, the grounds and buildings need updating. The pool water was cloudy and the parking lot is small."
