"Property is located in the old town of Ortigia, just a block from the sea, and very walkable through the maze of narrow streets and alleys. It was fun to discover shops and restaurants. The building is very historic—part of the old Jewish section of the town, with ancient baths underground. Our hosts were very friendly and fully bi-lingual. The room was a bit dated, but very tastefully decorated. There is a very elegant courtyard for common use just below our 2nd story walk up. The continental breakfast was good, not exceptional. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"We stayed here for two nights and were extremely disappointed, especially considering this is supposed to be a five star property. Our first night we were put in a room where the bathroom had a horrid smell that spread to the entire room. The room was also on the same floor as all the cleaning staff which was very odd. They offered us nothing in return for this very disappointing night. Do not recommend staying here."

"Breakfast is superb with large choice. There is an excellent spa but this is an extra which seems petty given the room prices aren’t cheap. The infinity pool is excellent with great views of the harbour. The bar/restaurant offers panoramic views although the drinks are very pricey - €18 for a negroni. Staff are extremely friendly and this is a top class hotel in a great location."

"Charming hotel in great location on Ortigia. It was on the waterfront and away from the crowds. The patio terraces were lovely for breakfast and cocktails. Also loved the quirky artwork tbroughout. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!"

"Just very basic. No Aircon just an in room heating device. Next to a fish restaurant so you can’t really open the window! Bathroom—so very basic with a broken ceiling light with wires hanging. Breakfast selections are so so—one cheese, one salami, more carbs—-sweet stuff, limited cup yogurt selection, ok coffee. Rooms are one floor up and no lift. You have to carry your luggage up two flights of stairs. Caveat emptor! "
