This little motel is a gem! We loved the location, how clean the property was and the staff was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. Room was the perfect size, and ocean view.

Staff was great checking in, very friendly and informative. Nice room. Seemed small no more than 4 people would be comfortable. Felt old needs a little updates. Our tub was cracked, did bring it to front desk they said maintence would look at it. They never came. Loved the full fridge, coffe pot, microwave and toaster. Could use a few more pots and a can opener. Other than that fully functional kitchen ( bring dish soap). They had 2 community grills didnt use, but saw others used them. Close access to beach and what a view! The only down side was you can hear everything through walls and ceiling. People walking or moving chairs. All the time no matter time of day or night. Also smoking was an issue. Supposedly a smoke free place, but I guess some people don't follow the rules. We were always smelling and seeing the smokers. Had to close our door so it wouldn't get inside. Parking is very tight. All in all was a very nice equipped place and walkable to attractions.

The staff was excellent. The hotel lobby was a little inconvenient as it was located offsite however it (the lobby) was beautifully decorated with nautical beach motif and warm and inviting staff which more than made up for it. Super conviently located on the beach. The room was clean and felt safe. There was a booking snafu between expedia and the property through no fault of my own, however the friendliness off the staff and overall stay experience outwayed the issue. I would stay at this property again, next time for longer. I only wish Expedia was nearly as helpful as the property on this one.

Checking in for this motel is done at the Edgewater motel nearby, it has a very small crowded parking lot and I found one spot to go into and when I got out of my car I was immediately met with a lady asking me if I’m checking in there. I told her I was checking in for kebek3 and she told me I cannot park there that is THEIR parking spots and that I had to move…literally 20 feet over so I guess watch where you park. That being said, the place was clean although a little run down looking. I did not see any evidence of critters on the bed or otherwise. We did have a room facing the street which produced a lot of noise and we heard trains going through often in the night that literally shook the building. The room DID face the ocean on the balcony side though and it’s generally what I cared most about was the view. And it is very close to the beach. We saw someone out sweeping the parking lot often and thought that was nice since the dune sand ends at the parking lot so we often didn’t wear shoes. The shower in our room (queen/twin one bedroom suite) was VERY small. There’s nowhere to get away from the water for a moment to lather up. Our stove in the kitchenette didn’t work or maybe we weren’t using it properly. It was well stocked with dishes and utensils but they only left a tiny bottle of dish soap. No sponge or dish cloth or kitchen towel or even paper towels. We ended up leaving a day early, OOB was unfortunately not a good time for us.

We had a girls get away and the room we had was so cute. Sliding glass door, two double bed, kitchenette, and full bath. They had staff that changed your towels out & trash daily. Very clean and we would stay here again.

We have found our happy place in Old Orchard Beac.

Our accommodations were amazing. Adorable motel right on the ocean. The unit was perfect for our family. We were well taken care of. We’ll certainly plan another stay and will highly recommend this motel to our friends and relatives.

End of season beach stay

Very clean motel! The view of the ocean was nice, plenty of kitchen utensils, grills to cook on outdoors. We were on the bottom floor and could hear every footstep above us, so if you are a light sleeper, this would be tiresome. Beautiful beach and close to everything!

Unfortunately, we found bed bugs and left soon after arrival. We were very disappointed because the property had excellent reviews, however it looks as though those reviews were from previous ownership. The furniture was beat up and the worst issue was when we discovered the bed bugs.
