"Very cute boutique hotel in the centre of Nuremberg. Modern and clean rooms. Few minutes walk to central main market. Lots of cafes and dining options around but still the hotel is in a quiet alley. Very reasonably priced. Whole heartedly recommended"

"For the lower amount of money, … for Germany in a big city,… this hotel was a great deal -not perfect but good for the money. A nicer bigger hotel with lots of conveniences like gym, pool, safe location, parking you can pay for in a safe garage, big breakfast you can pay extra for etc. Room was decent size, clean, well furnished, with good beds. Hvac air conditioning was easy to control to make warm or cold- that is very important as I can’t sleep when it is warm in the room and so hvac going to low temperature is important to me. Staff - some friendly and kind, some rude….it is Germany sooo. I liked that windows open for fresh air. Location is fine to drive 5 or 10 minutes to most tourist sights. Not great for walking to the tourist sights though. You could take buses or trams though as there are many many of them just outside the hotel."
"Dec 18-27, 2025 Stay at the beautiful ‘Karl August’ Hotel in olde town Nuremberg, Germany was a true holiday delight! Our Family Suite (#345) was very spacious, the hotel housekeeping service was very accommodating for our schedule & needs, and overall the hotel Staff members were available 24/7 for all our questions & requests! We ate at the Christkindlesmrkt (steps away from the hotel & reason for this location), we also ventured out to some local restaurants for that authentic European delight & experience. “Five Star” rating hands down!"
"Clean rooms, comfy bed, friendly staff. Only thing we wish it had was conditioner for your hair. They only have shampoo. Maybe that is normal in Germany? "
"Great location for Christmas markets it is by the red light district which was totally fine for those of us without kids. The breakfast was phenomenal. Amazing visit. Highly recommend. "
