Plus I had some sort of alergic reaction to something in the room in this Route Inn and are previous stay at Lake Kagoshima.I dont normally suffer from allergies and I dont have Asthma but as soon as i layed down I got all stuffed up and had issues breathing when trying to sleep. "This hotel is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff were helpful and always very friendly. The breakfast option was extraordinary, a private banquet of traditional Japanese dishes. The hot spring is beautiful, a rock pool flowing with healing water, always available. It is right on the Hida River which brings a soft tranquility. The walk into town is short, 15 or 20 minutes brings you to the center of town, with many dining options, temples and shrines. A truly memorable and relaxing experience."

"There's staff to welcome and orientate us upon arrival. And since it's a large hotel with 3 buildings, the staff briefed us and walked us to the building where our room was. Nice breakfast and we have 3 onsens to choose from! It's also conveniently located within walking distance or a short drive to the main sights at Gero. "

The building is in an appalling state of disrepair, with strange odors permeating every corner. To reach your room, you must endure numerous flights of stairs and poorly lit, shabby hallways that feel like a set from a horror movie.

"The staff speak English or Mandarin hence communication was a breeze for me. They were very friendly, helpful and polite. The location of the ryokan is within walking distance to the town and close to the train station. Hotel provides a bus shuttle to the train station. From the train station to the hotel, there is also a complimentary ride. I had a very pleasant stay at the ryokan and highly recommend it. "
