Very clean, great staff, location remarkable. 5 minutes from Zocala
Lots of restaurants and little supermarkets . Restaurant on site is very good.
The staff members were extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, there's accessibility options like ramps and elevators and the location of the hotel itself is great.
I would go back 10/10
The staff at this establishment are friendly and attentive, ensuring that all your needs are met during your stay. The rooms are consistently clean, providing a comfortable environment. However, it's important to note that the area can be lively, particularly on weekends, due to nearby parties, which is typical for the Centro of Oaxaca. Overall, my experience was positive, and I plan to return next year.
This place was cheap and functional nothing fancy. The staff was helpful and nice but Oaxaca centro is kinda off-putting. It smells like garbage consistently and really doesn’t offer anything special. Great hotel if you want to stay en el centro, just don’t love el centro.
Blocks from most of the shops and main areas. Smaller rooms. Staff was accommodating. Restaurant has good pricing but not open daily. Parking is not on location, but about 8 minute walk. Was hard with luggage n toddler. The hotel was able to schedule transport to the airport.
It's a nice hotel, clean, centrally located. Staff is excellent and helpful. Things to know: pay for your room in advance (we weren't given the option) because if your traveling from another country they don't accept credit card, they request a Zelle or similar bank transfer and the exchange rate is at their discretion. We expected this and brought MX $ in cash to avoid this. Oaxaca is cold in Dec, hotel rooms have no heat. Blankets provided are thin, request more. Mattress and pillows are hard, we could live with it but someone with back issues might not do well. Hotel is close to el Zocala and Mercados Juarez (fresh produce, leather goods, handmade crafts) & 20 de Noviembre (food courts). These markets are separted by a street.
Aurora Hotel is clean, with a helpful staff and a restaurant. We stayed for 10 days, and the hotel was not ideal for such a long period because there was not enough room to work while one person was sleeping. I'd go there again for a day or two. The location is ideal for tourists visiting Oaxaca. A couple of very minor issues: There were only two electrical outlets (plus one in the bathroom), which is not enough when traveling with digital devices. The patios off the third and fourth floors looked appealing in the hotel's pictures, and might be great for an after-dark drink, but the patios are south-facing. The table umbrellas don't provide shade, and so it is very hot. The beds' mattresses were very firm, which we liked, but not everyone will.
Room was very clean, staff súper friendly.
Bed s are on the hard side.

Its location is close to everything, it is very noisy at night at least on the weekend. Bed are a bit hard parking is a issue we where told parking lot was full and we had to look else where wouldv'e been nice to know ahead of time to look somewhere else to park. But overall its a good place to stay.
The location is great, but the hotel room needs some improvement. I got warm water 1 out of 4 times, the other times was lukewarm. I know it isn't uncommon, but it's good to know in advance. It's a decent hotel, but far from great. You can book bus tours directly from the hotel.
