I really enjoyed my stay. The location was perfect,close to everything and very convenient. I also love how safe and comfortable I felt during my visit. Th only small thing was that the cleanliness could hav a little better, but overall it was a very pleasant experience.

I have stayed at the Coral Reef many times over the years. It is a classic 1930’s/1940’s motel so things are a bit old. But the price, value, and location are great for a traveler who enjoys a place with character and history. The website suggests they have a “business center,” but they do not have a room with a computer and printer you can access. But the staff at front desk were very helpful and printed out my conference papers for me. I had a great stay

I was thirty one evening and found out that the property has no sofa machine and I was also surprised to find out it had no ice machine which is standard in any hotel of this quality. The rug the had cleaned in the lobby was still dirty.

We had to move to 3 separate rooms. The first room fridge didnt work. Second room AC failed to work the plug was burned out. 3rd and final room test didnt work. The internet at the Hotel was slower than dialup. I was unable to get necessary work done because of the slow internet. Id stay away from this property.

If you are on a tight budget, this is a good place. I stayed for a week and it was MUCH cheaper than staying in San Francisco. VERY close to the beach! Only thing in-between is a bowling alley. You can see the sand from the hotel entrance. I will say, the crowd that was staying there the whole time I was there, were VERY disrespectful people. Leaving the pool area a mess for days. Over all, I truly consider this place a life saver. I booked a 10 day stay in san Francisco, in the tenderloin district and as a 5 ft tall 110 pound girl, I was too afraid to even walk the street from parking garage to "hotel". I needed something fast and affordable, and this place was suggested. LOVED the area. Felt very very safe. Lots of super cute places to eat. The cleaning could be a bit better. The staff doesnt speak much English as well. OH AND DONT RELY ON. BREAKFAST to fill you at all. No meat or protein. Bread and maybe 2 cereal choices.

Arrived at front desk at 3:00pm, I was the second customer in line. It was not until 3:43pm, had they finished checking me in. The faucet was dripping continuosly at the sink near the beds, the air conditioner was not functioning and the curtains were too small to cover the entire screen door. The hotel stated that there's not another decent room to change and asked me whether to cancel the stay with no other option. Expedia tried every effort to help me calling the front desk but in vain. They wouldn't pick up the phone. Eventually, Expedia took the heat offering me a service credit but I have to look for another accommodation on my own that evening.
The screen door is larger than the drapery.
The air conditioner is not turning on.
The chair you don't want to sit on.

The room was awful; there was no hot water to take a shower. The smell of marijuana was throughout the whole place. The walls are thin, and you could hear muffled voices through the walls. The tub had grime I could not get out. Breakfast was cookies and cereal. Choose somewhere else.

If you want to get a beautiful lake view, it’s the place to go. The only thing, you don’t get much of a continental breakfast, so bring your own. The bed and couch are also really old, & no smart TV in the bedroom.
