"Whole building reeks of cigarettes. There were cigarette butts in the window rail in my room. After 15 minutes in my room I had a sore throat, then left and found another hotel. "

"Room has poor insulation, you can hear sound from other rooms. We had an accessible room, the water pressure in the shower was SO low that you can barely shower, it's the worst I have experience in any US hotels. Hotel was right in the center of Oakland Chinatown, so many restaurants to try. Daytime seems to be ok, but after 6pm, it is NOT safe to walk around, and everything seems to be closed."

"Thin walls so if your neighbors are inconsiderate you will know. Shower pressure and temperature could have been better. Not their fault, but fireworks multiple times after 10pm."

"Nacho who works at the 2nd floor bar, Iron & Oak, was very friendly, kind and professional. His customer service skills were superb. Also, our room service was excellent. She cleaned all of my cream bottles and arranged them neatly on the bathroom counter. "

"We asked for a room with a roll-in shower but got one with a tub with seat. The soaps were behind the person sitting in the shower. The bed was too low and the toilet was also too low. At least there was a bar next to the toilet to aid in getting up. It was a nice room except for ADA issues that we had."

"I really enjoyed my stay at this inn. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe thanks to both the property and the staff. Parking in the gated area is a bit limited, but aside from that, everything was excellent. The room was extremely clean and beautifully decorated—it honestly felt like something you’d find in a much more expensive hotel. The surrounding area is also very clean and felt safe, which made the stay even more comfortable."
