「Excellent stay.」

「Staff were amazing 10/10 Food amazing Very accommodating Rooms says soundproof but wasn’t and corridors smell of the food, overall though we had a lovely time and used as a base and we enjoyed the food they served 10/10」

「Lovely junior garden room with a very nice view! Very cosy and dog friendly! Super food served and the staff especially Jane & Lauren were so lovely and gave super service! Would highly recommend staying or dining here!」

「Good food and comfortable room」

「I've stayed here, overnight, on two occasions in the last month. During both stays I have come down for a continental breakfast either at 7.45am or 8.30am only to find the through door into the breakfast area was locked and no one around to give access. This meant I had to go to a nearby shop to buy breakfast at an extra cost to me even though it was already part of my booking cost. 「Very nice, big room. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom. Lovely pub. Great cooked breakfast. Friendly, good value for money.」

「Good location with excellent views, unfortunately room was very basic and smelt damp. The shower was poor and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Continental breakfast in October??? Over priced stay for basic amenities.」

「Clean Room. Staff Good.Breakfast Good. Bar Good. Food Good.」

「Excellent all round. Lovely big rooms and great staff. Food brilliant for dinner and also breakfast.」

「It was excellent value, comfy and cosy. Loved that there was a bath AND shower (useful if you break your wrist so bath is the only option). Staff were really nice and helpful, and cheered me up after hospital with hot chocolate. No food as out of season (so check first if you want breakfast). I would go back though as great base for walks」

「A great stay at The George. A warm welcome, great comfy family room and wonderful breakfast.」

「Its a village pub. Vegi food was disgraceful but fine if you want a supermarket quiche warmed up and you want to pay £16 for it with re-fried chips! Window was held open by a block of wood! Bed was very rock and roll!」

「Great location」

「Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return.」

「I booked a ticket to watch a live play in Stratford upon Avon on my further trip and I needed to print this ticket. The hotel staff was able to help me out with their printer. This was great. 」
