Front desk staff was very helpful. We had a thermostat failure in the winter. They had maintenance look at it right away and gave us a space heater to help us in the interim. Lobby is very nice and spacious. Rooms were a decent size. Bathroom seemed to have a heated floor.

This hotel is a gem. I almost don’t want to describe how lovely it is. I’m concerned about others finding it… but I think it’s more important to highlight how amazing this hotel is. I’ve stayed at a dozen or so nyc hotels over the years and this is my favorite, hands down. The decor, the ambiance, THE ROOM, the bath and shower; the restaurant and bar. I love it all. I literally wanted to move into my hotel room full time. It's gorgeous and so peaceful. I want them to get more business so they never close… but I’m paranoid too. I don’t want to struggle to book a room. This place is everything. This is my hotel now. I will forever stay here every time I’m in NYC.

The Evelyn is a super cute hotel with a vibrant atmosphere/ bar. Rooms are very cosy and we loved the art deco style. The staff were amazing and really made our trip! They were so welcoming , sweet and helpful at every moment. They even managed to get us last minute bookings at some top restaurants. This hotel is great value and is in a very cool/central location. We avoided the free breakfast as it’s not great and a scramble for a few seats.
