Room was not a great as expected, used tissue was left from previous guest behind curtain was not cleaned before we arrived. Bathroom was ok shower does not drain water properly. You had to be very careful turning the bathroom sink knobs when turning on water because if you don’t your whole bathroom will be covered with water due to the pressure and design of the sink. We had a few incidents turning the knob wrong way and had water all over the floor within seconds. Bed was comfortable. There is a mini fridge in the room but takes a while before cooling down water or anything you place in the fridge.

Nice, but dated hotel in central downtown location. Staff was friendly and professional. No restaurant onsite, but several close by. The mattress was lumpy, shower controls were unmarked and confusing to use, bathroom sink was clogged/backed up. Overall a decent place at a decent price, would probably stay there again.

This hotel was a nice surprise. I almost canceled my reservation here when I found out that they didn't offer valet service. But after some research I saw that the valet service was in the building next door, to the hotel though not at all connected to the hotel. I still feel that the hotel amenities description regarding parking in valet is still misleading. The hotel is conveniently located just two blocks away from Bryant Park/NY Public Library and a quick walk from Rockefeller Center. So much is within walking distance, the subway and bus stops are also nearby to explore other parts of the city as well. The hotel is very simple anenities-wise. It's definitely a place to just go in and sleep while you spend the day exploring the city. I will say the lobby is gorgeous and luxe and not a reflection of the rooms upstairs. A couple of nights we went out to get tea and pastries to have in the lobby downstairs in front of the fireplace before heading up for the night. Hotel staff are some of the friendliest I have ever experienced. The location and staff are the reason I will stay here again in the future.

Very peculiar hotel. Entrance looks like under construction. The lobby which I thought was attractive is a tomb. They closed their bar and restaurant so no one sits in the lobby. Hotel was clean and bed was comfortable. While the lobby area is cozy, this once lovely hotel is now very bare bones - no amenities in the room, cheap thin towels, no restaurant or bar any more and not even a coffee shop or coffee in the room. Electrical outlets are in odd locations. The shower was fine, good water pressure for a high rise hotel in NY. The tub had multiple cracks and would not have been a functional tub.

The hotel is a ghost of it's former past. The room was big and clean and thats where the accolades end. No restaurant, no bar, no services and I mean NONE! You cant even get a cup of coffee. Let me repeat that, you cannot get a cup of coffee at the Royalton. The staff was friendly enough and the doormen were terriffic but I doubt we'll stay there again
