A traditional New York hotel, extremely well located, across from Central Park. The rooms are dated but well-maintained and spacious. The food is good quality, but the prices are a bit higher than expected, even for a 5-star hotel.

I originally came to New York for work, but at the last minute decided to extend my stay by two nights to live out my Kevin McCallister-at-The-Plaza dream—and I am so glad I trusted my gut. From the moment I arrived, the experience was exceptional. I was delightfully upgraded to an incredible room that quite literally took my breath away the second I stepped inside. Every detail was thoughtfully done—the bedding, the décor, the ambiance. It felt effortlessly luxurious: modern yet classic, timeless without feeling stuffy. The staff were absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. I enjoyed afternoon tea, which was lovely and perfectly done, and then fully leaned into the experience. I spent those two nights truly in the hotel: long baths, lounging in a plush robe, ordering room service, and savoring every minute of it. It was indulgent in the best way possible and worth every single penny. I’m so grateful I made the spontaneous decision to stay—it turned a work trip into a truly memorable experience. Everything was absolutely perfect. I will be back 1000000%. This is officially my new go-to every time I’m in town.

Location, suite was amazing! Wish they had more restaurants to choose from on the property. We also didn’t get a chance to do the tea spot because it was booked for over a week. I found out later because staff didn’t mention this but our suite had priority and we could have gone in. We also had a butler but we didn’t see him again after checking us into hotel. Overall it was very luxurious and great food for what they had.

It’s iconic and deserves all the prestige and acclaim. The lobby and restaurants are stunning and immersed in history and famous movies. The floral arrangements are breathtaking and probably the cost of a small car! The staff is extremely and friendly and very fast to respond to anything. The only challenge are the elevators which get packed quickly and during busy times are full if you are on a middle floor

Wouldn’t stay here again. Only positive was attitude and friendliness of staff and pre-trip concierge assistance. Location great. Size of room was good for NY faced into another part of the hotel but painted gold bed frame was peeling terribly (gross) and pillows were miserable. Clumpy cotton. No turn down service. So many tourists in the lobby you have to dig out your room key every time you enter the hotel. They also add a charge at check in ABOVE the resort fee. $75 per day but you can use $50 as a credit. Strange.

This is a beautiful property. I booked a king deluxe and the room was so big and the bathroom was absolutely beautiful. The staff were amazing and we enjoyed the beautiful afternoon tea in the palm court

Staff, room, service and spa were all top tier. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here. Everyone was so kind and professional. If we had one point of critical feedback, it would be that the Palm Court seems to have downsized their dinner menu since our last visit. We ultimately preferred the Champagne Bar for our special dinner, so if you're deciding between the two, definitely go with the Champagne Bar!! It was gorgeous and food was great.
