"Walls thin so if your lucky you will hear the TV from room next door all night. Shower whilst very powerful, the issue is when it goes from cold to scalding without touching the tap. Food option limited. While not the hotels fault it's located on a very busy road. Plus points staff friendly and room decent size."

"Another lovely stay. Colin and his team are amazing and so friendly. More than happy to help with any questions or help giving directions. The room was very clean with coffee making facilities. Breakfast there are a few choices and the food is amazing. I would definitely stay there again."

"The hotel is a typical old pub, the staff lovely and welcoming. The stairways and walls are dated, but the rooms are tidy, clean, comfortable and cosy. The full breakfast was beautiful. I enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again. For your evening meal we went to the Caven Arms on the recommendation of the hotel/pub manager and that was delightful too. "

"Stay was ok for price paid however is dated and tired especially bathroom area, needs general maintenance, re grouting, paintwork etc. Breakfast was poor, basically cereal and toast, paid extra for cooked breakfast which was small and nothing special. It wasn't the worst hotel I have stayed in but I wouldn't return. Shame as the building and grounds are incredible. "
