"I stayed in room #307 two nights. The hotel is close enough to town to be convenient yet far enough away from local traffic to feel safe. The grounds were clean and well kept. The lobby and hallways appeared clean. The young woman that checked me in was friendly and professional. The room appeared to be in fairly good condition. It needed a good vacuuming and there were various types and lengths of black hairs on the bathroom floor. The shower and toilet were clean and worked properly with the shower providing adequate pressure and hot water. The bathroom vent would often make an odd thumping sound when it was not running probably due to an issue on the vent line related to another room requiring the bathroom door be closed at night. Two the three chairs in the room needed wiping down. The round rolling stool appeared to have something white spilled or sprayed upon it. The bedding looked clean. The pillows were typical of hotel pillows, appearing full and fluffy but flatten very quickly. The mattress on queen bed #1, closest to the entry, is completely worn out. Not a too soft or too hard issue, the mattress is concave, bowl shaped and well past due for replacement. Bed #2 was better but near replacement as well. The appliances in the room worked as designed. With a little effort from the cleaning staff and replacement of worn out mattresses, this location would receive a higher rating. "

"Nice place to stay"

"I don’t even know where to begin with how disgusting this stay was. We checked into the Sleep Inn, paid $90 for a room, and the moment we opened the door we knew we had made a mistake. The room absolutely reeked of cat piss, mixed with a heavy blast of air freshener that was clearly being used to try to cover up the smell. It didn’t work — it just made the entire room smell like urine and chemicals. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years and was visibly filthy. Then we checked the bed. The sheets had hair all over them like they hadn’t even been changed. The pillowcases were dirty and stained. At that point it was obvious the room had not been properly cleaned at all. To make things worse, the room was humid and stuffy with no AC running, so the smell just sat in the air. Walking into that room felt like stepping into a damp, dirty box that someone tried to disguise with air freshener. We refused to stay there. We walked right back out, left the property, and ended up driving 30 miles away just to find a clean place to sleep. We spent $150 at Tru by Hilton instead because there was no way we were staying in that disgusting room. This is absolutely ridiculous. Charging people money for a room in that condition is unacceptable. If a room smells like urine, has filthy carpet, and dirty bedding, it should never be rented out. Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay here unless you want to waste your money and possibly sleep in a biohazard."
