"Our second time staying here. Our first time was when they just opened and really wasn’t impressed but thought we would give them a try again. Our room was clean. The room was not ready by 4pm because they had a large group the day before so unable to get rooms turned over quick enough. The pool had sand on the tanning ledge, which we found odd. The sand was there for the next couple of days. Walking the property the trash cans were overflowing in the public areas, cigarette butts on the ground and even a few burn marks/holes in the cushions. The bartender at the pool was fabulous and knowledgeable. The bartender inside was unable to maintain the bar area and service orders. She struggled with the pace and demand. She needed a person doing bar back duties. The restaurant is a one trick pony same menu as previous visit. Needs a little tweaking. I have lots of suggestions for what they could do. I did see they had a few corporate groups there and they seemed to cater to their wants and needs. I just wish this hotel was better, it has the potential to be an outstanding upscale place to stay."

"We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable, nice breakfast bar with a variety of items to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. This will be our hotel of choice when we are in the area again."

"Great hotel. Pool was out of service for the whole 2 weeks we were there. Hottest summer of Louisville and the pool was empty. Otherwise everything else was fantastic! Room was great, breakfast was awesome, love the free onsite parking, staff was friendly and helpful."

"The room was so nice in the Washington Irving Suite with a fireplace and big jetted tub. We were over the bar and definitely the music was hearable but once it was done, the room was sooo quiet! We sat on the balcony and stayed dry from the rain while we watched the world go by. The included breakfast was so great. Eggs to order and they went out of their way to make me decaf coffee. The staff really did go above and beyond for everything. We were just disappointed we didn’t get dinner at the restaurant because we asked too late and they were already full. Totally recommend the Talbott if you’re going to Bardstown."
