The room was clean and looked nice. But there was a very overpowering smell of either cleaner, or some sort of chemical. It wasnt good. The lady was very nice but there was no staff at all, on site at all to remedy the situation, and no one called us back until just before the time of check out. check in and out was very convienient , but again, no staff. we did it all online. They had everything you needed in the room and it was a great price. Overall not a bad stay, but using a staffless system in a customer service based industry, definitely had its flaws.

Given the rate, I did not have high expectations; however, cleanliness is an area that could be improved. The fridge and microwave were not cleaned, which may have been an oversight. The bedsheets also had hair on them, so I wasn’t entirely sure if they had been changed after the previous guest checked out.

The self check-in was more complicated than expected, but the staff did assist (via telephone) and everything worked out. Room was clean and comfortable, though a loud mechanical sound below our room (laundry maybe?) occurred in/around bedtime and began again in the early morning. Conveniently located!

Since there is no one at the front desk, its a self check in facility. Rooms were clean but there was wired smell all the time , i guess people been smoking or have pets ( says pet friendly) in the room . Even pillows have the smoke smell in them .

The parking lot was easy to find but if your turning left into it it’s a sharp turn but was easy to drive into. Was not hard to find, getting the info for the codes were easy from the staff. The room was spacious, did smell like cleaner when we walked it but opening the window helped. Liked the beds the were comfy and so were the pillows. Liked that the tv was a Roku for streaming Netflix, etc. This was my first hotel where we didn’t need a key, check in was done all over the phone. Would stay here again. Liked also that it was close to the ferry and a Starbucks. It is by a road thats heavily traffic but didn’t bother my sleeping.

The place was dirty, the people staying next door were up screaming and slamming furniture against the wall and going in and out of the room and building every 20 mins. The traffic kept us up all night, there is no staff on site to help with anything and the room smelled like dog a cigarettes. It sounded like a brothel all night and I unfortunately was there with my children.

Room had been "renovated", poorly. Brick walls, poor excuse for a kitchenette, and an odour i couldnt quite place. Check in is all online and there are no personelle on site. Look elsewhere.

I checked in late that night, location’s a little hard to find maybe due to the weather and darkness. The room in general was just alright, tiny, the bed wasn’t comfy, there’s a little backyard that actually connected to the next door neighbor that I didn’t aware of but it was safe. Can’t say it’s dirty or messy but can’t say it’s clean and tidy either. Guess I would prefer hotel instead next time.

I couldn’t check into the Spot, but after 4pm I didn’t get the details so I called the contact number. They said housekeeping was behind so they offered an upgrade at a nearby hotel. It was nice and had a view of a harbour. BUT the next morning I’m woken to the sound of the door being unlocked. THERE WAS NO KNOCK! No one saying “it’s housekeeping”. It was a quiet rattle of keys turning the lock. Im surprised it even woke me. I jumped out of bed, yelled that the room was occupied as the door was opening. I got to the door before they could see me and forced it shut against their weight. I yell at them to go away. As a woman traveling alone this is the worst nightmare and something that happens all too often. The door didn’t have a bolt and chain lock to prevent someone outside from unlocking it again. A man said he’s housekeeping, I tell him to wait until I check out. It honestly felt like he still wanted to come in and clean. It was so bizarre. I settled down and went to the office to tell them what happened. She was apologetic, said he is new and went to the wrong room, but honestly it felt like she didn’t get how traumatic having someone pushing your door open can be. She said I could check out late, so I went back to bed. Less than 2hr later there’s a knock at the door. They said ‘housekeeping’ as they unlocked. I said occupied and didn’t hear him go away. So I went out to face him, he showed me his paperwork, which had my room # on it, but didn’t specify the hotel.
