Of all the hotels I stayed at in Japan, Hotel Trusty in Nagoya had an incredibly good value for the price I paid. It was one of the more affordable hotels from my itinerary, but the room itself was quite spacious (especially considering the sizes that many Japanese hotels are), the location was very central as it was only a couple stops away from Nagoya station itself, and I had an abundance of food options all around me.

Nice location and room

Room service does SO MUCH cleaning every day, more than enough towels and toiletries to go around. I love how close the hotel is to stations and places of interest. Nice space, I do just wish there were more washing machines. One bad thing is there isn't much to watch on the TV, I wish it had netflix or streaming. Would go again!!! 🍀 ✨

The hotel was close to transit with lots of restaurants nearby. Staffs were really friendly and were very helpful during our stay, especially when we were having trouble figuring out our luggage transfer forms. They were able to make the process much easier. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

Staff are very nice. I am from HK, speak both Chinese & English They can speak English well but I am listening impaired, and they used their translate Apps to translate to Chinese for me to read, and I talk to them in English. Room are clean and tidy. Basic daily consumable (tooth brush, comb, watet, towels...) are fully provided. Disadvantage is the Hotel is in the middle of 2 metro station, need about 5-10 mins to walk. I choose to take Taxi to Nagoya Station with my luggage, cost is only 1500 yen. Area around hotel mostly business building, not many shops (but a 24hr store at the corner). Very quite at night. Need to walk 10-15mins to Sakae station area will have more shops & restaurant at night. One minor issue is Hotel lift only down to 2/F Lobby. There is only 1 escalator going from 1/F to 2/F, normally upwards. Staff said they can change it to downwards for you if need carry lugeage to 1/F. But I didn't use this service so need to carry my luggage to walk down stairs.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, and overall, it was a good experience. However, I was disappointed with the attitude of the night shift front desk staff, who often appeared to have a 'please don't disturb me' attitude.

Large room for Nagoya city

Room (deluxe twin with balcony) is large, so makes it comfortable. Beds are huge. Only problems are no escalator to get down (use stairs), no alerts on whether the 2 washer/dryers are in use (and only 2).

I like the location, the service and nice hotel staff. But it was so dusty that when I opened the curtains, dust flew around. It was moldy. The air conditioner is so effective that it's hot when I turn it off and cold when I turn it on.
