JR KYUSHU HOTEL Nagasaki

10/10 Excellent

"Jr Kyushu Nagasaki is super easy to find and access. Check-in was smooth with friendly staff, the room was clean and spacious enough. I had a car and was able to park till 13:00 the following day for ¥2200 extra. I paid for breakfast to be included, it was great but we could have gone without it. Direct access to Amu plaza that offers shops and restaurants right there! So convenient. Overall great stay and would book here again."

"The staff was so friendly and it was in a very convenient location right near Glover hill. Konbinis, trolley and bus stops, and restaurants were a very short walk away. The coffee in the lobby cafe was excellent and the spa was lovely (cold plunge, hot tub, sauna). Highly recommend this hotel (traveled with a family of 5) and we would definitely stay here again."

"The Japanese style breakfast was excellent; there were a few choices for the western taste as well. The hotel has a good restaurant , Amalia for lunch and dinner. The neighborhood was great; easy walk to Grover Garden ( many shops around) and Chinatown ( opposite direction) also with many shops and restaurants. The hotel was nicely decorated with a Spanish colonial flair. We appeared to be the only westerners in the hotel. Staff was excellent and went out of their way to be helpful; their English was limited. The television had many options but it was all in Japanese."

"Hotel itself is great. All of the staff EXCEPT for the front check in desk are superb. The check in is misery there. They don’t honor any Hilton Honors benefits, say no to everything and to top it off, reception sent a letter to my room an hour after I checked in stating they undercharged us $5 so be prepared to pay that at checkout. A formal letter shoved in the door crack to collect this “debt” after being there less than an hour and refusing Hilton Honors benefits are enough reason for me to stay elsewhere next time I’m in Nagasaki."
