"I have no complaints. Of the 3 hotels I stayed in on this trip to Europe, this was by my favorite. I chose a lake view room and from My balcony I could see right over to Evian. Every staff member was beyond helpful from getting me in for dinner when I didn’t have a reservation to arranging an early morning taxi for me. They even indulged me practicing my terrible French with them. I plan on visiting Lausanne at least once a year to visit friends and I will always stay at De La Paix "

"Great staff. Older but and clean hotel with decent size rooms with small balcony. They were going through renovations when we were there in winter 2026 and the elevator was out of service but staff offered to take our luggage up the stairs. "

"The room was very large and beautifully appointed and absolutely spotless. The bathroom was lovely- with a separate water closet and nice tub and shower. The service was excellent and we especially loved Bushra!"

" Notre chambre debait etre libérée à 12 h. Rentrant a 11h d'une promenade au bord du lac, le jour du depart, notre chambre n'était plus accessible !!! Nous avons dû revenir à la reception pour faire débloquer la serrure...pas très correct !!! A part ce petit désagrément en fin de séjour, nous sommes satisfaits. "

"room was directly under the roof. I am a tall person. 15% of the rooms in the hotel were occupied. Why give a small room directly under the roof to a tall person then? in 70% of surface of the room I could not stand. Also, the cabinets are short. My coat could not even hang in the cabinet (too low for the coat) "

"The hotel is beautiful with nice spacious rooms and everything you need already in the room. Helpful staff, right across from the metro station and right next to the water with the beautiful promenade. Highly recommend!"

"This was a repeat stay at this very pleasant hotel in Lausanne center. There are three main draws to it: superb location two steps away from the main railways station; a superb view from the breakfast saloon on the top floor; and a very easy experience all-in with fast, efficient checkin. The rooms are modern, clean, with all the necessities. Basic toiletries provided. Wifi free and very fast. Minifridge provided, empty, perfect for storing your shopping. Breakfast is… Swiss (which means good and fresh but rather spare). If I have one qualm it’s about the pillows, which are way too flimsy. A citywide transport pass is also offered, which serves best with the metro that goes up-down the city. Note the nearest station is not Gare but Grancy, 30 meters from the door. All in all I will return!"
