"My girlfriend and I recently stayed a week at the Luxor Las Vegas in a tower room, which I would recommend. The room was spacious, modern, and quieter than expected. While it is a longer walk from the casino floor and amenities, the comfort made it worthwhile.
Elevator access was excellent. Despite heavy foot traffic, we rarely waited more than a minute in either tower, which was a big plus compared to other Strip resorts.
Food and beverage options were fairly limited, and we found quality inconsistent. We often chose to dine at nearby resorts for more variety.
The south Strip location is also something to consider. It requires a lot of walking to reach central attractions, which is fine if you’ve been to Vegas before, but less ideal for short stays or first-time visitors.
The biggest issue was customer service. Our room’s AC was not working properly, and after four nights of poor sleep due to heat, we raised it with the front desk. Our friends in another tower had no issues, so it was clearly room-specific.
We were told maintenance would be informed, but when we asked about timing, we were told, “This is Vegas, it’s hot.” With outside temperatures around 33°C, this felt dismissive. I’ve stayed at the Excalibur Hotel in extreme 50°C+ August heat and still had a properly functioning room. We were not asking for compensation, only working AC or a room change.
Overall, the room was good, but the service experience left us disappointed and unlikely to return."
