The room was awesome and clean, but there was not a TV, or microwave. The buffet breakfast was great. The gym was not a real gym. The swimming pool has been abandoned.
Room clean, double bed very comfortable. The room did include 'bathroom' with sink and toilet, but unfortunately the shower had been 'decommissioned'. Breakfast was very nice although I got tired of wearing the bracelet all week. No AC but the spring weather was nice and cooling. Overall, it is a bit 'spartan' but I'd stay there again and grounds were beautiful to walk around on.
When I arrived in Thursday I was given a room with a private bathroom. My refrigerator was not in the room like I had asked for it to be. I even called the day before to remind them. The shower was very hot so I had to take a sponge bath. I went to the front desk and they moved me to a room with it all. But only for one night. The next morning I went to the front desk and they said to come back in an hour to see what they can come up with. I went back and they moved me to a room with it all but the shower didn't work so I had to use the public bathroom. That was not a great experience.
For three free breakfast? It was awful. Runny or over dry eggs. Potatatoes were dry. Dried or pancakes. Pastries tastes like chemicals. Fruit cocktail tastes chemically.
Beautiful sunset.
Place was beautiful and a lot of history. I will go back if I get everything I think I reserved.
We were pleasantly surprised by the simple eloquence of the property. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was more than adequate. The location and history make this an ideal place to stay.
It is a very unique property. While the rooms are small they are very nicely appointed. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff too. It is a simple hotel and has wonderful grounds.
This is a hostel, not a hotel. Its a converted convent that poses as a hoyel, but your room is nothing but a bed and a sink. Communal bathrooms and showers.
Breakfast was good though.
A peaceful n restful place to stay, by the water. Well kept grounds with walking trails, near an apple orchard. Breakfast was complete; a good variety to choose from. Staff were friendly n helpful.
