I booked a four-night stay at Hôtel Ruby Foo’s based on the hotel’s advertised amenities, specifically the presence of an on-site restaurant, which was essential for my client meetings. Upon arrival, I was informed that the restaurant was under construction (a critical detail that was never disclosed during the booking process).
Realizing during check in that the hotel could not meet my needs, I informed the front desk that I would not be staying. I was told this would not be a problem and that I would not be charged.
Unfortunately, despite this clear communication and the hotel's acknowledgment of the issue, I was still charged for one night. I’ve spent over a week trying to resolve this but the hotel has been evasive and the management has not responded to multiple attempts to reach them.
The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable. I’ve wasted hours trying to resolve something that should have been handled with a simple refund and an apology.
