"I don’t recommend this hotel. Our room had zero ventilation so it got very hot and stuffy at night. There was no fan or ac so it was hard to sleep. There was zero housekeeping and when I needed items like toilet paper or a towel I had to find someone at the front desk - most of the time staff was no where to be found and the front desk was unattended. "You could stay here and experience so much the area has to offer! Zip lining is a bit pricey compared to other options in the area, but their breathtaking mountain views and incredible breakfast are worth it. The entire property is immaculately organized and clean, and I would definitely book again. The hot springs were fantastic, but I believe there might be better ones further down the road. Overall, I would give this place a solid 10 out of 10."

"Cloud Forest Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. The absolute standout was the restaurant—the food was exceptional, and the servers provided some of the best service we experienced during our trip. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made every meal enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the nearby hiking trails were beautiful, and the peaceful, quiet setting made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the cloud forest. We would happily stay here again."

"This was an amazingly beautiful hotel. We had the 2 bedroom villa which was newly remodeled with a full kitchen and gorgeous finishes. We saw a ton of wildlife right thru the huge windows in the living room and bedrooms. I will 1000% Stay here again when we come back. The check in was super quick and friendly and we came during afternoon coffee and it was delicious too! Can’t recommend this place enough!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lost Iguana Resort. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, especially Charlie who was our bellman. The breakfast buffet was incredible, a standout for sure. Staff in the restaurant were great, too. Our kids liked the pools, though the lower pool was very cold, too cold for me to enjoy. The hot upper pool was nice and hot! Our room was clean and the high ceilings made it feel bigger than it was. Our patio was very private and peaceful. We saw glimpses of the volcano from our patio, but only once saw it in full during our 5 night stay in July. The umbrellas provided by the hotel were clutch, definitely needed! They are numbered according to your room number. Unfortunately someone else took ours from the restaurant one night, but the staff brought them back to our room without us even requesting. I would’ve liked to use the gym in the morning, but it didn’t open until 10am - too late, we were already on to our adventures then. Our family really enjoyed the Puma Trek as well. It was a great length and we never saw anyone else on the trail! The location was a little farther from the main area, and my daughter got carsick on the windy roads. We generally prefer more secluded places, but next time we might opt for something closer to more restaurants."

"This place is a gem. Having beautiful trails through rainforest on the property was magical. The permaculture integration of design, function, and the natural world was inspiring - and also made for incredibly fresh and tasty meals. The view from our room balcony was breathtaking - I didn’t even have to get dressed to go birdwatching first thing in the morning. And there were so many areas for children to play. The concierge service was fantastic - they book tours not only on the property, but also in the protected areas nearby."
